I no longer want to receive Granite notification emails or deadline reminders. Can you disable them for me?
Granite messages (individual notifications, deadline reminders, and weekly summaries) are sent when a user is assigned as the Responsible Person, Handler, or Owner of a form, or when reminders have been scheduled for a training course. These messages will stop once the underlying trigger is removed.
What you can do immediately
- Remove or change the responsible person on the form: Open the form using the link provided in the email. Update the Responsible Person, Owner, or Handler field to the appropriate person. Save the changes.
- Mark the task as completed: If the task referenced in the form has already been completed, change the form status to Completed (if this status is available in your environment). This will stop deadline reminders and weekly summary emails related to that form.
- Training-related reminders: If the messages relate to training courses, open the relevant training and complete the final test. If you do not want training reminders to be sent at all, or as frequently, disable the scheduled reminders or adjust their schedule (this requires training administrator privileges).
If you are unable to make the changes yourself
- Contact your organization's Granite administrator and ask them to remove you from the form's responsibility fields, to mark the relevant forms as completed or to remove or adjust the training reminders.
- Granite Support can assist with removing scheduled training reminders upon request from a Granite admin user. However, we cannot modify customer data, such as changing responsible persons on forms. Those changes must be made by your organization's own Granite users.
Information needed to help you quickly
- What type of messages do you want to stop receiving (individual notifications, weekly summaries, or training reminders)?
- An example message subject line and date, along with a link to the form or the form identifier.
- The email address receiving the messages.
Important notes
- Weekly summary emails are sent when you have overdue tasks assigned to you on forms. Once you are removed from the responsibility fields or the forms are marked as completed, the weekly summaries will stop.
- If you no longer work for the organization or no longer use Granite, passivating your user account will stop all Granite emails entirely. Please ask your organization's Granite administrator to passivate your account.
Granite messages are not part of a general mailing list. They are sent because tasks, responsibilities, or scheduled reminders are assigned to you. To stop the messages, update the responsible person, complete the task, or disable the relevant training reminders.
