# The link in a notification email I received does not work. What should I do?

If clicking the link in a notification email does nothing, redirects you to the Granite home page, or results in an error message, try the following:

* **Copy the link address from the email and paste it directly into your browser's address bar (do not click it).** Make sure the entire address is included as a single URL, with no line breaks, extra spaces, or trailing punctuation. If your email client shortens the link (using "..."), use the "Copy Link Address" function to obtain the full URL.
* **Try a different browser or device.** If you are using a mobile device, test the link on a computer. Alternatively, try opening the link in a private/incognito window.
* **Make sure you are using the most recent link.** Many links are single-use or time-limited. If you have requested multiple links (for example, password reset links), only the most recent one will work. Request a new link if necessary.
* Sign out of Granite and sign back in using the correct login method (your organization's SSO/external login versus the service's own user account login). Only then open the link from the email again.
* If the link takes you to the Granite home page or you receive a **"No access rights to the system"** error message, the form may have been moved to an area of the tool that your account does not have permission to access. Contact your organization's Granite administrator to verify your access rights or to obtain an updated link.
* **Verify that email link tracking or security filtering has not modified the URL.** The browser's address bar should display the service's actual domain. If the link begins with a tracking or security scanning service address, locate and copy the original destination URL instead.
* **Clear your browser cache and cookies**, or use private browsing mode, and try again.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, contact Granite Support. Please include the original notification email (for example, a screenshot or a forwarded copy of the message), a screenshot of the error message, the date and time of the issue, the device, browser, and browser version you are using and a description of the troubleshooting steps you have already tried.
Do not share single-use or personal links in public channels.
